Summer jobs will be provided to Montgomery's youth between ages 16 to 24. 2009 YouthWorks Summer Employment Program will provide temporary job to begin June 2 until July 31. There will be 91 jobs including program assistants, clerical aids, food servants, office administrators, and more. Pay will be $7.25 and a minimum of 35 hrs a week. Applications will be accepted each day from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Career Center, 1060 East South Blvd. beginning Monday until all positions are filled. Youth must present a photo ID, Social Security card and proof of income for the last six months to be considered eligible for the program. This announcement came today from Mayor Todd Strange. This would be a great oppurtunity to keep the youth out of the streets and out of trouble, and could open doors to future endeavors. For further info call 334-286-1746, 8am-4:45pm
