FACEBOOK....

With FACEBOOK being the new craze, there's someone who is always out there to try to get over on you. With people posting how they feel and what they're eating, some even give what some call TMI(to much information). With that being said, it's important you pay attention to the info you provide on the site, because some are using the info to do bad. By you posting your vacation plans and everything else, you may just come back home missing a few items. For instance two guys from Bessemer burgalrized several homes in the Hoover area, based on information they were able to get from people on Facebook. It's important that we all use precaution when updating our status, because we never know who may be looking. Click here to check out the article.

PROM NIGHT IN MISSISSIPPI
"DOCUMENTARY"
Tonight, July 20 @ 8pm HBO

In 1997, actor Morgan Freeman offered to pay for the senior prom at Charleston High School in Mississippi, on one condition: it had to be racially integrated. His offer was ignored. Ten years later, he offered again--and this time, the school board accepted and Charleston High had its first integrated prom...though not without opposition. HBO presents this illuminating film that follows the efforts of students as they prepare for the groundbreaking dance in a Delta town where change does not come easily--and where the Oscar(R)-winning Freeman's generosity ends up fanning flames of racism among several generations of Charleston residents. (TV14)

**The documentary will air various times until September 7***

Hosea Chanchez, who is from Montgomery (Lanier Alum) and co-star of the former show "The Game" on the CW, has a record out. I'm not sure if he's working on a album or he just had some studio time, but he did find time to record 'KANCER' and posted it on the entertainment blog Concrete Loop to be polled. The song does have the whole Kanye 808 & Heartbreak vibe, and one would assume it is a extra Kanye didn't want. The song isn't bad and he does a pretty good job, it's just we've heard this and it's kinda worn out it's welcome, but I can't knock his hustle. Click here and take a listen!

Condoms YES or NO????

Ok so my friend found this question on Yahoo! asking "Do some guys actually LIKE wearing condoms?" The question should really read "Do people (men & women) actually LIKE using condoms?" if we're gonna be fair. Well, I pretty much knew the answer to this one without even thinking, but I went on a quest and asked some friends, who also asked some more friends, and the consensus was...... NO! Everyone said they would prefer no condom, but based on the consequences it's a MUST!!! First thing, no one is perfect, because to know you like it better without a condom, you would've had to have done it without one...right?!?!? RIGHT! That's cool, majority of everyone is in that same boat, it's just in this day in age with everyone sleeping around (men & women) you never know what you may catch, when you caught it, and who you caught it from. Don't get me wrong, definitely do you,(again men & women) but we all have to be more mindful of what's going on in the world, and more careful. Of course in a new relationship the rules are a little different, and strapping up shouldn't be a issue, seeing as how we barely know each other and things of that nature. However, in long term, say a year or more, in a "monogamous" relationship or a marriage, if either party is still insisting on a condom (not that it's a bad thing) a red flag may need to go up, as there may be more to that story (as with the yahoo story the guy had herpes and didn't tell her). Always protect yourself, don't have the mind set to think something such as a STD can't happen to you. Don't get so caught up that your brain is no longer functioning properly. Using a condom doesn't make you less of a person, it makes you a more responsible one.

T.O. = Reality Fever

Alabama native and former Dallas Cowboys football player, Terrell Owens, has been hit with the reality show fever. Starting Monday, July 20 his show titled "The T.O. Show", will air on VH1 @ 9pm. Not sure what the naked promo pic is about, guess it may have something to do with putting everything out there, and based on the trailer, the show looks like it will be pretty interesting. Check it out below.

Dr. Regina Benjamin

Alabama physician, Dr. Regina Benjamin, was nominated for Surgeon General by President Obama today. Benjamin is known for her passion to rebuild her nonprofit medical clinic after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Benjamin is quoted saying the job is "a physician's dream".

Not Interested?!?!?

How do you know someone is not interested after you have a first date? Me and my friends have discussed this a time or two, and our answer is pretty simply. Just telling the person would be to much like right, so we usually just skip this step all together. We feel that if you call us or we call you two maybe three times, and get no answer or a return phone call, then you have your answer....NOT INTERESTED! At this point don't continue to call or text, or use the unknown caller trick, because it turns into stalkerish behavior, which is never a good look. If you continue to call, because some do, please do not leave a message telling us what your doing, about to do, or how you feel, because it doesn't really matter, and believe it or not your voice message is usually put on speaker phone for everyone present to laugh at and talk about. Now i'm not saying this works for everyone or that it's the right thing to do, but based on our experiences when you actually tell someone face to face or via telephone, they try and convince you why you shouldn't feel that way, and we ain't really feeling all the extra that comes with that. So if this sounds like you, please stop, and if you were thinking of doing this, please don't.....just take it for what it is...Not Interested!

Obama looking or not?

Ok, so the big thing on Obama today is he was looking at a 17 y/o girls butt. Well, there is a picture circulating, but I can't honestly say if he was or wasn't and be fair, because you will need a snap shot of about 5-10 seconds before and after this one was taken to get a real answer, or even a video would be better. However, the gentleman next to him, who is the French President I think, I can't say wants going on in his mind..lol, his look is Priceless!!!!
***update: a video came to light, and he clearly is not looking at the young lady, he was being helpful to the kids, he helped the other young lady down the step....however, still not sure about the French President, because he turned around and watched her and gives another Priceless look.....lol!

MBOE select New Superintendent

Barbara Thompson was selected the new Superintendent for Montgomery school system, in a 4-3 vote. Of course, it doesn't come without backlash which is, the vote was race related. So, who is more at blame, the 4 black people that voted for her or the 3 white people who didn't? Like I said before, I don't personally know any of the board members, nor do I have any kids in the school system, I do however know teachers and kids who do attend MPS, and would hope that Ms. Thompson was the right person for the EDUCATION system regardless of color. If all of her credentials checked out and she was qualified, then why not her. I did read, if i remember correctly, there was at one point 49 applicants, 44 dropped out, 5 remained, 3 were weeded out, and then of the two left another dropped out also, leaving Ms. Thompson the lonely candidate. Many then wanted to start the process over....WHY? If she wasn't qualified she should've have been one of the finalist! In the end, she's in there now, like it or not.....we just have to let her get in the office before we boot her out. I wonder if Ms. Thompson is having Obama Syndrome?!?!?

Michael Jackson Memorial

MJ's Memorial was held today and I just wanna say that it was very nice. It seemed to be well planned and very well organized. The family looked great and presented themselves with so much class during this very sad time. I'm sure many people were expecting this to be a big spectacle, but it was definitely a class act!
